Introduction
Project 21c is a collaborative lecture series encouraging debate in global issues by engaging with people from around the world. The global theme of the issues discussed is echoed by the same key messages of the lectures being given around the world to different audiences.
In late March 2008 I proposed to my associates from the Salzburg Global Seminar Young Leaders Summit in 2007 a collaborative lecture series to raise awareness and promote debate on a number of global issues. The proposal was well received and in April 2008 project participants, from eight different countries, began discussions to create those lectures.
The goal of the project is to highlight a number of the challenges facing humanity in the coming century, to promote debate and raise awareness about these challenges.
The project is in it’s early stages at this time and there is much work to be done on the content of the lectures and sourcing the correct support for the project.
STATUS UPDATE
Project 21c is currently being written. The basis for the topics are the discussions we had in December 2007 which focussed on key challenges of the coming decades and the associated leadership required to tackle them. This phase is scheduled to complete by the end of July 2008. The outcome of this phase is to set out the initial structure and substance of the presentation.
